Symfo’s Michelangelo ePRO diary is a Windows Mobile based device that allows patients to report and transmit their responses using multiple communication technologies including mobile technologies. This system uses the latest generation touch sensitive mobile telephones.
Symfo’s software is compatible with most Smart phones that run on Windows Mobile Professional operating systems (versions 5.0 and higher) and can be reused for multiple trials.
Michelangelo eClinical software allows the programming of the simplest and most complex patient diaries including real time recording. Various types of screens are available including images, Visual Analogue Scales, etc. Michelangelo also supports multiple languages.
Michelangelo improves patient compliance in a number of ways. For example, each screen can be accompanied by an edit check in order to control patient data entries by forcing the patient to answer a question within certain authorized limits. In addition, different kinds of alarms can be predefined to remind the patient to enter or transmit data.
In order to avoid loss of configuration and/or data, the software and data are stored on a micro SD card.
The Michelangelo clinical eDiary is equipped to allow Symfo to update the application even when the PDAs are deployed, allowing the equipment to remain with the patient at all times. This is extremely useful for mid-trial changes.
